Kia Ora Magazine

We are delighted to be part of the “A Weekend in Cambridge” article that is appearing in the latest edition of the Kia Ora inflight magazine.

The story was crafted by Vanessa Trethewey who is a freelance copywriter and communications specialist with over 20 years of experience writing, primarily for the education sector. She is also a trained journalist and writes for a wide range of other industries including travel, food, hospitality and events.

Vanessa spent a few hours at the park and got to talk with John and Dorothy who are the founders of the property.

The life work of Dorothy and John is another shining example of the power of regeneration. When the purchased the land 32 years ago, it was a derelict quarry with one lone pine tree. Now, its home to almost 30,000 trees, more than 20 different species of native bird and a two-kilometer art and nature trail showcasing more than 100 sculptures and installations. A not-for-profit environmental and cultural enterprise, it’s one of the country’s largest outdoor galleries - and the perfect finale to a country weekend”
