Our outdoor Gallery showcases Art from local and National artists. Situated by the Artist Shelter and Roosting Ruru cafe.

It is the perfect space to shop for your next piece of sculpture or art.

Each month we will be presenting a different Sculpture Artist and their work.

You will be able to meet the artist and purchase works from the Gallery.

Katherine Batchelor

“A playful exploration - a parody of human nature with a child like sense of nature”

Katherine Batchelor is a 3-D mixed media artist, graduating from Hungrycreek Art School in 2006, achieving an arts and craft diploma level six, then at North Tec in 2016 gaining her Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree.

As a mixed media artist, I work predominately with objects - found and created. Objects are loaded with histories; they contain traces of residual emotions and symbolism.

The exhibition contains five unique pieces which are all available to purchase.

Katherine also has a sculpture (Surf and Turf, 2013) included in the upcoming exhibition in collaboration with @theartshousetrust, Treasures in the Landscape starting this Saturday, 14th December.
