Katherine Batchelor

Katherine Batchelor is a 3-D mixed media artist,  graduating from Hungrycreek Art School in 2006, achieving an arts and craft diploma level six, then at Northtec in 2016 gaining her Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree.

As a mixed media artist, I work predominately with objects - found and created. Objects are loaded with histories, they contain traces of residual emotions and symbolism.

I enjoy combining a variety of materials in my art, exploring the differences in their material languages. I believe that through installation and assemblage, the juxtaposition of created and found objects can portray a sense of human interaction and emotional response more effectively than the spoken word.
