Connecting with nature
IMAgEN8 works to help young photographers (8 – 18yrs) connect with nature through education, photography and technology. Engagement with our natural environment fosters mental well-being and encourages environmental stewardship, building connections with the world around us.
IMAgEN8 tutors work with high quality digital single reflex cameras which afford young photographers the opportunity to capture unique images. Many children do not have the opportunity to engage with specialised photographic equipment and the results can spark new appreciation and inspiration from the world around them.
As one of the founders of IMAgEN8, Tushar’s passion for the natural world led him to want to deepen other people’s love and connection with nature. Tushar is the principle educator for IMAgEN8 and has been leading workshops since 2019. Tushar works alongside a team of educators and volunteers to reach as many young people as possible, enabling engagement with both photography and our natural environment.
We welcome Tushar and Penny to the Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum to host this special photography workshop. Tushar and Penny come to us from IMAgEN8 a registered charity whose purpose is to foster sustainable connections with the unique environment of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
